I don’t know if I’ve seen a Dew quite this color before. It looks very red in the photo, but it’s actually a really deep pink. The picture doesn’t entirely tell the whole story. But before I can drink it, we need to get to the pour. And considering my favorite flavor is cherry red (the only thing Mick and I have in common) and I love limes, I’m looking forward to this one.

So, the line is apparently doing well enough that PepsiCo decided to come out with a new flavor for it. I just know that it’s caffeine, it’s fizzy, it’s sweet, and it’s not absolutely loaded with sugar. I don’t really get into that kind of thing. It’s also got B-vitamins for “focus” and such. The rest of its sweetener coming from aspartame. So, it’s not zero sugar, but it is generally less sugar. But it also doesn’t have any added sugar afterward. Like the Kickstart and Game Fuel lines, this soda has 5% juice. I don’t drink coffee or tea, but will grab a Dew in the morning if I feel I need a bit of get-up-and-go. And while I don’t generally need the caffeine, this describes me. This line is made for the people who grab a soda instead of coffee or tea for their morning caffeine rush. Let’s get to it.įirst, a small background on Rise Energy. Then, when I ordered a case off of Amazon, the first package got lost. Mountain Dew had revealed a new Rise Energy flavor and despite it being in Instacart for places all around me, nobody seemed to actually have it. This is one I’d hoped to have done a couple weeks ago, but such was not the case.
